 Kyle Showers, 9, sits at a kitchen table Monday in his Trumbull Court home as he talks about being attacked by a dog. He said the dog jumped its fence and bit him on the the throat Friday night. A person at the neighboring home said the dog was provoked. |

Newton Township Cruiser Hit by Train | |

|
It happened in Newton Falls, on Miller-Graber Road around 11:00 last night. Police say the Newton township police department was engaged in a foot pursuit, and an officer parked his car on the tracks to chase after the suspect. The cruiser was then hit by the train, OSP and the Newton Township police department is investigating the incident. Fortunately, no one was injured. |
